This weeks assignment is all about lighting and rendering. I will be lighting up and rendering my textured jewelry box. -->
Time-budget
Work
For lighting, I used the three-point lighting system. 1 key light, 1 fill light and 1 back light.
All of the lights are spot lights.
The key light is rotated roughly 45 degrees from the main camera (the shot cam).
The key light is the strongest of them all, projecting
the main light source directly on the jewelry box.
The fill light fills the dark areas.
The back light helps show a certain glow to the box.
Here are the following settings used for each light source:
Color management was set to on.
Here I used a tiny yellowish tint to make it look more natural.
Here you can see the difference
between all of the lights and how
they affect the scene.
Finished result
Resolution: 1920x1080 (The picture above is not 1920x1080, it is only for representation. The correct-sized image is located within the FP folder in my delivey folder for Noroff fagskole.)
Render time: 29 seconds
I am happy with the result and I have learned quite a lot. Luckily, I did not run into any problems.
